TOULOUSE - The Springbok Sevens were bundled out of the Toulouse Sevens title race.

South Africa suffered a 21-12 loss to Argentina in the Cup quarter-finals on Saturday night.

Tryscoring machine Marcos Moneta scored a brace on either side of the break in the second and eighth minutes respectively.

Luciano Gonzalez also dotted down with Santiago Vera Feld's clinical with the boot.

James Murphy pulled two tries back for the Blitzboks, but it was too little too late as World Series-chasing Argentina held firm for a 21-12 win.

Next up for South Africa is a fifth-place semi-final with Australia.
