WATCH: Kodwa denies govt involved in Teeger decision

JOHANNESBURG - Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa, says government had nothing to with a decision over David Teeger.

He was stripped of the Under-19 cricket captaincy after comments seemingly supporting the Israeli Defence Force.

The opening of the event could be overshadowed by planned protests following Cricket South Africa's decision to strip Teeger of the team captaincy.

The CSA says removing Teeger as captain is due to safety concerns.
