JOHANNESBURG - Another Proteas Women veteran has played her last game for the national team.
A day after former captain Dane Van Niekerk retired from internationals, wicketkeeper Trisha Chetty is hanging up her gloves.
Chetty is leaving professional cricket after dealing with a chronic back injury for the past five years.
The 34-year-old broke into the Proteas ranks in 2007.
She amassed 138 ODI caps, 82 T20 appearances and two test match starts.
Chetty collected 2703 ODI runs including 16 half centuries.
The Durbanite played in four 50-over World Cups.
She has also featured in six of the eight T20 world cups that have been staged, missing out earlier this year and in 2018 due to injury.
Chetty has the joint most stumpings in women’s ODI history, at 51.
