Woods withdraws from US Open

Tiger Woods announced via social media that he has had another surgery on the lower right leg damaged in a 2021 car crash

LOS ANGELES - It looks like things just aren’t looking up for Tiger Woods, who has pulled out of yet another Major.

This time around he has withdrawn from next month’s US Open.

The 15-time major winner has been hampered by injuries over the past few years.

He's also still in recovery after undergoing ankle surgery.

Just last month Woods withdrew from the Masters, once again citing injury.

He also missed the PGA Championship last week.

A horrific crash in 2021 has left the 47-year-old struggling to gain full fitness after his leg had to be rebuilt.

He's won the US Open, which gets underway on 15 June, three times.
