World Rugby Sevens | Japan running out of time to keep place

Relegation is quickly becoming a real prospect for the Japanese Men’s Sevens Team.

TOKYO - Relegation is quickly becoming a real prospect for the Japanese Men’s Sevens Team.

The Japanese are the bottom-ranked team of the HSBC Rugby Sevens Series, with time running out on them.

The Asians have only picked up a total of 10 points in the opening seven rounds.

Now they need more than a miracle to turn things around with only four tournaments remaining.

Hong Kong, Singapore, London and Toulouse are the only remaining events on the schedule.

Head coach Simon Amor admits some tough lessons have been learnt.

He remains confident in what he calls a highly-talented but raw team.
