Bakubung Mine Strike | Miners demand salary increase, review of pregnancy policy

JOHANNESBURG - Another matter of labour unrest involving an underground sit-in is taking place at the Bakubung Platinum Mine in Ledig, outside Sun City in the North West province.

Over 300 miners who started their shift on Wednesday morning,
failed to resurface from the underground shaft.

The miners are demanding salary increases and a review of the mine’s pregnancy policy.
