DURBAN - The search is on for two Durban mothers who have allegedly been sexually abusing their young children.
A local security company received the complaint -- with pictures and screenshots -- but the source has since disappeared.
Verulam security company Reaction Unit SA is dealing with the disturbing case.
A Chatsworth mother called the office in May 2026 to report her female lover from Phoenix.
She claimed that the Phoenix woman was forcing her six-year-old daughter to perform sexual acts on her.
But screenshots that the Chatsworth woman sent to the security company showed that she was also seemingly abusing her seven-year-old son.
The SAPS confirms it has been in touch with Reaction Unit SA on the matter.
However, it says in the absence of a complainant's statement, no case has yet been registered.
"The police are in communication with us for this matter every second day, where we're in communication with them," said Vinod Singh from Reaction Unit SA.
"We're just hoping that if the child is in school, or one of the children speaks out, you know, to a neighbour or to another child, and we're hoping that somehow they get found and they get the help that they need."
Childline in KZN says law enforcement authorities cannot leave it at that.
They must find the children to verify the allegations and provide them with assistance.
Reaction Unit SA has promised to follow all leads received.
