CAPE TOWN - The Weather Service has issued warnings of severe cold fronts across the country this week.
Two intense cold fronts are expected to bring extreme weather conditions, including subzero temperatures.
The first system is set to make landfall over the Western Cape, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds.
The mercury is also expected to drop sharply.

The system then moves to the Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, Free State and Lesotho.
Snowfall is expected in parts of those areas.
Disaster management teams are on high alert and the weather service will provide updates as the system moves.
