19 suspects arrested for truck hijacking on N12 in Klipriver

JOHANNESBURG - A total of 19 suspects have been arrested after a truck hijacking on the N12 in Klipriver, south of Johannesburg.

The group was found with hijacked stock valued at R1m, two trailers, three luxury vehicles, and false number plates.

Police and private security raided premises in Krugersdorp where multiple cellphones, as well as a firearm and ammunition were found.

Other suspects were arrested in Honeydew.

Police are investigating the gang's involvement in other truck hijackings.
