CAPE TOWN - Twenty-one of people were injured at the Athletic Club & Social in Cape Town's central business district after a balcony collapsed during a popular “First Thursday” event, which is held at the beginning of every month.
While there were no major injuries reported, several people had to be transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The scene has been cordoned off as the remains of the balcony are cleared.
Building inspectors will now investigate the incident.
