3 arrested after Inanda police shootout

INANDA - Two males and a female from a house in Inanda after a police shootout have been arrested.

This is according to police minister, Bheki Cele.

Cele says that the three cannot be named at the moment and says the process should be allowed to unfold.

Police killed 6 other suspects found in the in the house in a gun fight in eMachobeni in Inanda in KwaZulu-Natal.

Along with the three, guns were recovered at the scene.

According to the police minister, the suspects are alleged to be involved with a variety of crimes in the area. The are continues to be a hideout for various gangs.

Despite this, there appears to be progress in bringing down the crime rate in the area.
