6 N3 Highway robbery suspects arrested

JOHANNESBURG - Six suspects have been arrested in connection with N3 highway robberies.

It’s alleged a so-called blue-light gang is operating along the highway.

They dress in police uniforms and stop vehicles before either kidnapping or robbing occupants.

This is the same highway on which Minister Sindiwe Chikunga was robbed last year.

Acting Gauteng Police Commissioner, Tommy Mthombeni says the suspects will be appearing in court soon.
