8-year-old sole survivor in Mokopane bus crash recovering in hospital

MOKOPANE - The 8-year-old who survived the horrific Limpopo bus crash is in good condition and recovering.

That is according to Limpopo Province's Health MEC, Phophi Ramathuba.

She says the country is working with the Botswana government to identify those who died.

The bus was travelling to Moria on Thursday when it plunged off a bridge near Mamatlakala,

claiming 45 lives.

Meanwhile, President Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed his condolences after a bus crash just before Easter that killed 45 of the 46 people onboard.

The bus from Botswana plunged off a bridge into a ravine near Mmamatlakala in Limpopo, then caught fire.

Investigations are continuing.

South Africa and Botswana have vowed to work together throughout, Ramaphosa said after a phone call with Botswanan President, Mokgweetsi Masisi.
