Archbishop Makgoba lashes out at greedy politicians

JOHANNESBURG - Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba lashed out at greedy politicians in his Christmas mass sermon.

He says they have captured South Africans with lies.

Makgoba says politicians are walking shamelessly and brazenly with dirty feet through every aspect of our lives.

He was preaching at Saint George's Cathedral in Cape Town.

"It is frightening to realise that as a society we have become so worn down by lies, corruption and incompetence that we are no longer interested in finding out the truth. We have been captured by lies," he said.
