Back to school | Last-minute push for Gauteng school space

JOHANNESBURG - There are snaking queues of Gauteng parents who are still battling to secure school space for their children on the eve of the 2024 academic year. 

Gauteng Education Department spokesperson Steve Mabona says over 21,000 pupils have not been placed in schools.

This as frustrated parents have complained about the department's online registration process.

Many parents are yet to receive approval for the placement of their children across schools in the province.
