KIMBERLY - The body of one of the five miner has been recovered from Ekapa Mine in Kimberly.
Authorities are yet to release the identity of the deceased, but he is believed to be one of the victims of a mudslide at the mine on 17 February 2026.

Recovery operations underground continue.
Teams are working to reach the remaining areas where the other miners were last reported to be working.
Police have confirmed that Kimberley detectives are investigating an inquest following this recovery.
To date the company has applied for liquidation and shut down operations two week ago.
