City of Cape Town warns residents of possible water disruptions

CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town faces possible water disruptions this week.

From 29 September to 3 October, planned maintenance could impact Rylands, Kraaifontein Industria, and Wynland Industria areas.

The City is urging residents to store water now and use it sparingly, especially during the shutdown of the Blackheath Water Treatment Plant.

Planned water maintenance (29 September – 3 October 2025) may disrupt supply in parts of Cape Town including Rylands, Kraaifontein Industria and Wynland Industria. Residents urged to store water and use sparingly during Blackheath Plant shutdown.
