The demonstration comes just one day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a hardline speech at the UN General Assembly, where he strongly rejected the notion of a Palestinian state.
Netanyahu also criticised countries that have officially recognised Palestinian statehood, a move that has further deepened global divisions on the issue.
Saturday’s march signals growing local and international pressure on Israel to halt its military campaign and engage in meaningful dialogue.
