JOHANNESBURG - A close family member has been arrested for the murder of 11-year-old Jayden-Lee Meek.
The woman aged 31 was arrested on Friday morning.
This was confirmed by Gauteng deputy police commissioner Fred Kekana.
"A very close family member was arrested. It is heartbreaking," he said.
The 11-year-old was found dead outside his home in Fleurhof on 14 May.

It is alleged he was found half-naked with multiple bruises on his body.
His family reported him missing after his scholar transport dropped him off outside the complex the day before.
