Codeta challenges route closures in court

CAPE TOWN - Taxi tensions are back in the spotlight as Codeta continues its court case against the Western Cape transport department.

The association is challenging the provincial government's decision to close ten routes from Mfuleni, Khayelitsha, and Somerset West.

The shutdown is aimed at curbing deadly clashes between Codeta, and rival association Cata.

The dispute has claimed at least ten lives.
