ConCourt to deliver reason for its ruling against MK Party's application

JOHANNESBURG - The Constitutional Court will hand down reasons for its ruling against the MK Party in its matter against President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The party and its leader, Jacob Zuma, brought an application challenging Police Minister Senzo Mchunu’s leave of absence and Professor Firoz Cachalia's appointment as acting minister.

The Apex Court dismissed the matter, saying it failed to engage the court's exclusive jurisdiction.

The party argues Cachalia’s appointment is unconstitutional.
