Concourt reserves judgment on consent in sexual offences case

JOHANNESBURG - The Constitutional Court has reserved it's judgment on consent in sexual offences case.

The court was hearing a landmark case, that could significantly affect how sexual offences are prosecuted in the country.

Organisations fighting against gender-based violence, are petitioning the Apex Court to confirm a North Gauteng High Court ruling.

That decision ruled that certain provisions of the Sexual Offences Act are unconstitutional, as they compromise victims and survivors of rape.
