Cosas Four trial once again postponed

JOHANNESBURG - The 22-year wait for justice by families of the Cosas 4 continues.

The historic trial of two men who were allegedly part of the group responsible for the 1982 kidnapping and murder of the “Cosas 4” has been postponed to October.

This was announced in the High Court in Johannesburg on Monday.

Former police officer Christiaan Rorich and askari Tlhomedi Mfalapitsa are facing charges of kidnapping, murder and crimes against humanity.

They will be back in court in January 2024. Eustice Madikela, Peter Matabane, Fanyana Nhlapo were killed after Mfalapitsa allegedly lured them to a deserted mine in Krugersdorp. Zandisile Musi survived.

Mfalapitsa testified before the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and admitted to what took place.
