JOHANNESBURG - Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa says the fight against gender-based violence in South Africa is everyone's responsibility.
Kodwa addressed the official Women's Day event at the Union Buildings on Wednesday.
He believes more awareness needs to be created to fight the scourge.
"The fight against gender-based violence and femicide is the responsibility of everyone," he said.
"It is the responsibility of the state, government, stakeholders as well as civil society in general.
