Crime in SA | Diepsloot residents give police ultimatum

 

JOHANNESBURG - Diepsloot residents have handed over a memorandum of demands to the police.

Chief among them is a request for the Amabherete to be deployed to the area permanently to curb rising crime levels.

They're also calling for more visible policing in the area rife with murder, rape and robbery.

Disgruntled residents took to the streets on Friday over the escalation of crime in the area.

The community was marching to the City of Joburg and SAPS offices to demand answers.

They say the community has been forgotten.
