Crime in SA | Ipid probes shooting of WC teenager

CAPE TOWN - Ipid in the Western Cape is probing a shooting that resulted in the death of a teenage girl in Elsies River, Cape Town.

Althea Adams was struck by a bullet during a shootout when police raided a house at the weekend.

A 50-year-old woman was arrested after police found 50 nine-millimetre rounds of ammunition and over 400 tablets of mandrax. 

The teen’s family wants justice. 

The Elsies River Community Policing Forum has condemned the incident. 

No arrests have been made.
