Crime in SA | Two rape-accused teens granted bail
MIDRAND - Two teenage boys accused of raping a 15-year-old girl at an estate in Midrand have been granted four-thousand-rand bail each in the Randburg Magistrate's Court.
As part of their bail conditions they are banned from using social media.
The incident made headlines after the suspects went live on Tiktok and detailed the alleged rape.
They will be back in court next month.

The incident allegedly took place last week at an estate in Midrand where a braai was being held.
The victim's family came to court dressed in white t-shirts.
Tensions were high between the families of the victim and the alleged perpetrators who applied to be released on bail.
As part of their bail conditions the teenagers have been released into the custody of their parents and they are not allowed to make contact with witnesses or the victim.
An anti gender-based violence activist says this case is a tragedy because it involves minors.
