DA dealt another blow in Brink case

JOHANNESBURG -The Democratic Alliance has been dealt another legal blow.

The DA's urgent court application challenging the appointment of Joburg City Manager Floyd

Brink has been dismissed with costs.

The application has been struck off the roll due to a lack of urgency.

The DA has been adamant about Brink’s removal from office and has already lost a court bid to do so.

Brink will remain the City of Johannesburg's manager.

The DA was back in the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg this week over the City's decision to rehire Brink.

There's been a back-and-forth between the DA and the City since April 2022.
