DA leader John Steenhuisen and Dion George to face party probe

JOHANNESBURG - DA leader John Steenhuisen has been cleared of misappropriating party funds.

Shortly after his axing as the minister of forestry, fisheries and environment, Dion George accused Steenhuisen of abusing a party credit card.

The probe found that the expenditure on the card was fully reconciled.

Steenhuisen and George are not out of trouble yet.

The federal committee ordered an inquiry to determine whether their public spat brought the party into disrepute.
