JOHANNESBURG – The death toll in the Ormonde deadly building collapse has risen to nine.
A ninth body that was buried in the rubble has now been retrieved.
Two more bodies were recovered on Tuesday morning as search and rescue operations continued.
Six other people were confirmed dead on Monday. Three others are in hospital.

Workers were busy at a construction site on Monday when a floor gave way and collapsed.
City of Joburg Mayor Dada Morero visited the site and said the building would be demolished for flouting the city's by-laws.
