JOHANNEBURG - The latest death toll from the Eastern Cape floods is now at 86.
Devastating floods wreaked havoc on communities in the Eastern Cape with President Cyril Ramaphosa calling for a day of remembrance to be declared to mourn those who died.
Ramphosa visited the area on Friday.

On Monday, the bitterly cold winter storm struck the largely rural and underdeveloped province, causing a river to burst its banks and submerge homes, with several make-shift dwellings toppled.
The worst-hit area was around the city of Mthatha.
Search and rescue operations continue in different parts of the province as some people are reported missing.
