Eight MPs fined for breach of ethics code

CAPE TOWN - The National Assembly has found eight MPs in breach of parliamentary disclosure rules.

The MPs failed to submit their financial interests by the October deadline, as required by Parliament's Code of Ethical Conduct.

The group includes ANC deputy minister Sihle Zikalala and MK Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela.

A reprimand in the House and a R10,000 fine have been recommended for each of the members.
