JOHANNESBURG - An Eldorado Park family is demanding answers after a disturbing discovery at Klipspruit Cemetery in Johannesburg.
Family members of Naomi Arnolds believe their late parents may have been buried with strangers.
This came to light when the family found a stranger's tombstone on their father's grave.
He was buried in 2012.
Their concerns were amplified during their mother's recent burial, as only a shallow hole was dug, leading them to fear she was being laid to rest on top of another body.
62-year-old Kallie Arnolds was buried in the cemetery but the name on this tombstone isn't his.
His family believes cemetery staff have been illegally reselling graves, leaving their father buried with a stranger.
In June, the family lost their 74-year-old mother, Barbra.
But her burial came with more trauma: a shallow grave was dug, sparking fears she was placed over another body.
The family is now calling for both bodies to be identified, exhumed, and finally laid to rest together.
eNCA reached out to the City of Johannesburg for comment, but they did not respond in time for broadcast.
