JOHANNESBURG - The firearm used to shoot the Primrose Hill Primary School is believed to belong to the pupil's parent.

The pupil shot the school principal on Friday.

The principal reportedly instructed grade six learners to take out their work books and study.

The pupil is said to have mumbled something to the principal, which he ignored.

It is believed the pupil shot the principal in the staff room later in the day.

While police investigate the matter, the principal is recovering in hospital.
