Gauteng residents question Lesufi's comments on undocumented migrants

Johannesburg - eNCA's viewers say they are not phased nor are they moved by Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesugi's new proclamation.

In a scathing address to a Gauteng ANC meeting, Panyaza Lesufi laid bare eight critical struggles plaguing the province. One of them being illegal immigrants.

Lesufi said South Africa cannot have an informal settlement where over 65 percent of the residents are foreign nationals.

He said undocumented foreign migrants should get their papers in order, or they must leave the country

Responding to Lesufi's comments on eNCA's social media platforms, South Africans had this to say:

"Panyaza must [stop] confusing us. We don't want to document illegal foreigners in our country. We don't want them. The issue is created by him and his ANC [in] the same way they give foreigners employment and tenders in our country's government," said @Miz_Ruraltarain

"These people know the problems but they deliberately don't do anything about them so they can use the problems to campaign every time there are elections," said @Siya_ZA

"Same should apply for formal settlement as well, check those expired hospital visas," said @black_breeze

"They are everywhere and in everything," said @zoe_zoecchiz

"So what are you going to do about it?" asked @tersia_hassbroek

The Premier will be on eNCA channel DStv403 tomorrow at 7am.
