Giyani Airport to reopen as F.Y. Siyandhani International Airport

GIYANI - Giyani Airport is getting a facelift.

After sitting dormant for years in Siyandhani, it will soon be reopened as F.Y. Siyandhani International Airport.

In partnership between the Siyandhani Traditional Authority and Bombo Investment Group, the airport is now launching its first phase as a private commercial airport.

The airport's use halted at the dawn of democracy, with the end of the homeland system in South Africa, with its use being prominent for the then Gazankulu homeland.

Bombo Investment's Ntiyiso Sibuyi says that phase one of the airport is said to create about 500 jobs. With four more phases to create more.
