Government making progress in addressing food-borne illness deaths - Ramaphosa

CAPE TOWN - President Cyril Ramaphosa says the rise in deaths from food-borne illnesses has raised serious concern about the safety of certain outlets.

He assured that significant strides have been made to address the issue, with a range of measures now in place to combat the crisis.

Over 20-children have died after eating snacks bought from spaza shops in recent weeks while hundreds of others have been hospitalised.
