JOHANNESBURG - Four suspects are set to appear before the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court after being arrested for contravening the Foreign Military Assistance Act.
Four men were nabbed on their way to Russia at OR Tambo International Airport on Thursday.
The Hawks’ Crimes Against the State unit received a tip-off that the men had been recruited to join the Russian Federation military.

Preliminary investigations reveal that a South African woman had been facilitating the travel and recruitment of these individuals into the Russian military.
Three additional suspects were arrested on Friday.
Electronic devices and two backpacks were seized for further investigation.
