Imizamo Yethu shooting | Community leaders want army to be deployed

HOUT BAY - The death toll in the mass shooting at the Imizamo Yethu informal settlement in Hout Bay has risen to seven.

Police say unidentified gunmen opened fire on a group of ten men in a house on Wednesday evening.

Five died on the scene, the rest were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Of the five, two victims died on Thursday evening.

Some community leaders are calling for the army to be deployed to the area.

No arrests have been made.
