NAVI MUMBAI - India have won the Women's Cricket World Cup, defeating the South African Women’s Proteas by 52 runs in Navi Mumbai.
India, who had been runners-up twice in 2005 and 2017, claimed their first-ever World Cup title after reaching their third final by beating seven-time champions Australia.
This was South Africa’s first appearance in a Women’s ODI World Cup final, having advanced after a historic victory over four-time winners England in the semi-finals.
