JOHANNESBURG - Patriotic Alliance deputy president Kenny Kunene has been reinstated as Johannesburg’s Mayoral Committee Member for Transport.
The appointment, confirmed by Mayor Dada Morero, follows weeks of tense negotiations between the ANC and PA, with threats to collapse the Government of National Unity.

The controversy traces back to a July Hawks raid at the Sandton home of businessman Katiso “KT” Molefe, accused of murder and organised crime. Kunene was at the house but not arrested.
He insisted he was there for a media interview, though the incident sparked questions about his associations and political standing.
The PA suspended him, pending an investigation, but later cleared him off any wrongdoing.
