Kusile power station repairs ahead of schedule: Eskom

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom says work at Kusile is ahead of its scheduled deadline.
Earlier this year, Electricity Minister, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa said the revised project plan would see the unit return to the grid by the end of December.
Eskom Head of Generation Bheki Nxumalo says all units are ready for commissioning and will be ready before the deadline.

He said: "with regards to us meeting the current deadlines of Kusile units, I think I must indicate that we are ahead of schedule we are just waiting for the minister's approval."

"As I was coming here the team indicated that they have received something so we should be able to meet the current schedule."
