LOMONTVILLE - Scores of Ethekwini flood victims to be evacuated after heavy rains lashed through following the floods that hit Lamontville, KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday night leaving trails of destruction.
This was confirmed by the Ethekwini Municipal Mayor Cyril Xaba on Thursday afternoon.
Two more bodies have washed up at Brighton and Anstey's beaches on the Bluff. Earlier five bodies who were reported missing, were recovered.
This brings the total number of bodies recovered to seven so far.

Xaba said these continued floods cause damage to infrastructure setting them behind on progress within the province.
On the same concerns, the mayor noted who build homes in unplanned areas thus leaving them to be vulnerable to floods.
He has called on community leaders to be observant in areas allocated for building.
Meanwhile disaster management teams continue to receive distress calls from affected residents, after the rains left a trail of destruction.
