KZN floods | Cogta urges people to remain vigilant

DURBAN - The Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs department is urging people to remain vigilant as the inclement weather continues in various parts of the province.

The death toll in the KwaZulu-Natal floods has risen to 40 and five people are still missing.

The KZN Disaster Management says the severe weather has left at least 74 people injured so far.

Around 800 homes have been damaged, with a total of two hundred and forty seven structures destroyed.

Over 4,000 people have been affected, with 47 left homeless.

Cogta spokesperson Siboniso Mngadi discussed this with eNCA.
