Legendary playwright and musician Mbongeni Ngema has passed away

JOHANNESBURG - Legendary musician and playwright Mbongeni Ngema has died.

The 68-year-old composer and choreographer died in a head-on collision on his way back from a funeral in the Eastern Cape.

Ngema is well-known for his 1992 hit movie Sarafina.

He also became a household name with his hit songs, including Stimela Sase Zola.
