CAPE TOWN - Police Minister Bheki Cele will release crime statistics for the second quarter of the year.

South Africa's murder rate dropped by 3.1 percent between April and June this year.

Two police stations in KwaZulu-Natal and three in Cape Town make up the top five in reported murder cases.

Sexual offences have also shown a decrease.
