PRETORIA - Mthokoziseni Maphisa is continuing his bid to have his charges dropped in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
There were fears the matter would be delayed after he was involved in a road crash on the way to court.
But, he refused a routine medical examination insisting he was not hurt.
Maphisa says prosecutors have failed to connect him to the murder of the soccer star.
But, the state is opposing the application saying there is solid evidence linking him to the crime.
