Makhado shootout death toll increases to 19

MAKHADO - The death toll from Friday's shootout in Makhado, Limpopo has increased to 19.

The latest body was found in at a safe house on Saturday, when experts were processing the scene of the shootout between police and cash-in-transit robbers.

Reports suggest that police officers were following up on a cash-in-transit heist when the shootout between police and the robbers occurred.
National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola says the group was planning a CIT heist in the area.
