JOHANNESBURG - The Equality Court in Cape Town has found EFF leader Julius Malema guilty of hate speech.
The case followed two complaints, one by the South African Human Rights Commission and another by an individual who was threatened as a result of Malema's statement.
It follows remarks that Malema said at an EFF rally in 2022.
He said: 'Tell that white man to try me...You must never be scared to kill. A revolution demands that at some point there must be killing because the killing is part of a revolutionary act.'
In the Judge's ruling he said that Malema demonstrated a clear intention to incite harm, and to promote and propagate hatred.
