Mapisa-Nqakula to interdict NPA from arresting her

JOHANNESBURG - The High Court in Pretoria will hear an urgent application by Speaker of Parliament Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula on Monday.

Mapisa-Nqakula is seeking to block the National Prosecuting Authority from arresting her.
   
She's accused of soliciting bribes worth millions of rand during her tenure as defense minister.

 Meanwhile, Lechesa Tsenoli will serve as speaker in an acting capacity after Mapisa-Nqakula took special leave in the wake of the scandal.

Opposition parties are demanding her resignation.
